Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components

An upgrade item is a unique item that can make certain Pokemon evolve. The Upgrade is obtained by spinning a PokeStop photo disc. It's often given as a prize in Pokemon GO events.

The Upgrade can also be found in armor, weapons trinkets, and gathering tools to boost their level of use. The upgrade costs Flightstones or crests depending on the kind of item.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, armors, weapons and gathering tools in order to increase attributes bonuses or other effects when the equipment is being used. Upgrade components can only be used on equipment that has an upgrade slot. The majority of upgrade item components require that the item to be upgraded is above a specific level. Some upgrade items also have special effects when applied to an equipment piece. Upgrade components can be obtained through crafting, bought by Karma merchants, or exchanged with other players through the Trading Post. They can also be salvaged from equipment and received as rewards.

A variety of upgrade components are available, each of which offers various bonuses. Universal upgrades, such as gems and inscriptions can be used on any type of equipment. They provide smaller bonuses than other kinds of upgrade components. Infusions are used in non-amulet ascended equipment and legendary equipment, while enhancements are used for some ascended back items. Inserting an upgrade component will destroy the previous upgrade. Exceptions are glyphs (which can only be used in gathering tools) and enchantments, which can be removed and put back in.

Insignias or enchantments, as well as prefix/suffix upgrades will appear in the hover display of the item, and they will be added to the equipment's name (e.g. the word Radiant Insignia will change the name into Radiant Tyrian Armor). The tooltip of an item will show the number of upgrade components that have been added to it.

Glyphs

Glyphs are special characters that can be inserted into an OpenType font to add functional or decorative elements, such as ligatures, ornaments, fractions and swashes registered trademark symbols, and ellipses. The Glyphs Panel lets you insert and view these special characters, along with regular symbols like em and en dashes, as well in registered trademark symbols.

Each Glyph provides a character with a boost in their primary stats. It also includes up to four secondary stats that affect the glyph's radius on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats can be described as a %-increase that is multiplied after other bonuses have been applied, with the exception of Speed Glyphs which directly increase the hero's speed.

Selecting the Glyphs and then clicking "enchant" will activate them. This will bring up a new window that displays the Glyphs you have that can be applied to the item you have selected. Note that only the right type of Glyph can be applied to the selected item, as every weapon, jewelry or armor piece has distinct sets of Glyphs.

Glyphs can be leveled up by running Nightmare Dungeons or completing Tree of Whisper quests. The more difficult the dungeon is, the more Glyph experience you will gain. Once a Glyph is at level 15, it can be upgraded by the Glyph upgrade item Altar. Upgrades to a Glyph increases its radius on the Paragon Board by one node every 15 levels.

Once a Glyph is leveled up to the desired level you can activate it by selecting it, then pressing the "enchant" button. The resulting glyph will provide its stated bonus and will also boost all the other nodes in its range on the Paragon Board. Glyphs should be placed where they will benefit your build the most. This is why you should prioritize Magic Glyphs as soon as possible. Some glyphs, however, might offer dual benefits if certain conditions are fulfilled, so they're worth looking out for too.

Click the cycle widget to alter the perspective of the Glyphs Panel. Each of these views displays the Glyphs using a different font. You can narrow the selection of glyphs further using an option under "Entire Font": for example, punctuation displays only punctuation glyphs, while Math Symbols reduces the choices to mathematical symbols.

Rerolling

Rerolling is the process by which you create a brand new account to give yourself more chances to play the character or weapon you are interested in. It is done to for you to increase your level faster or to obtain more loot, such as an additional weapon for your character. A lot of players will repeat the roll until the character they want is available, regardless of its power. It could be because they like the style or personality of the character.

When you reroll, you need to make sure that the changes you're making are clear. You should check locally if the patch passes the pre-commit test and run a core dev check. You should also upload the patch to an issue by using an unmodified diff (see What about an interdiff? ).

Rerolls can take a few days or weeks depending on how fortunate you are. During this period, you should avoid any optional enemy camps to avoid wasting time. Additionally it is recommended to not repeat any quests that are completed later in the game. This will save you time and energy.

Another crucial aspect to remember when rerolling is to make sure you are aware of the upgrade system. There are several ways to enhance your character's strength and appearance. These can include upgrading your weapons, rerolling your characters and purchasing upgrades. In addition, it's important to know the limitations of the upgrade system.

Rerolling is not a necessary aspect of the game, however it can be beneficial to increase the chances of winning an item upgrades or character. You can use it to determine the Best item upgrade character or to experiment with different builds and playstyles.

Sets

A set is an object collection with 2 common attributes (like the number of eggs in a dozen, or the members of a group). Sets can be used to perform operations such as intersection, union and difference.

Upgrades make a set more effective than it was prior to. For armor and weapons this means it will gain a higher base defense value as well as less strength requirements and an lower amount of requirement.

Upgrades can bring well-known items from single sets to parity with items in higher-level sets. Upgrades such as Guillaume's Face Helm to the Elite Spired helmet could increase the defense from 217 to 321 and lower the strength requirements and levels to an acceptable range.

It is important to keep in mind that not all items in an assortment are suitable for upgrading. Some sets, like the FB Sorc spec's Whistan's Shield or Naj's Puzzler staff are already Exceptional and Elite in their own right and don't require any upgrades. On the other hand, some items that are BiS and have a lot of use (like Goldwrap) may benefit from being upgraded to improve their performance even more. For these types of products, it might be worth the cost to upgrade them.
