Stability

Four-wheel buggies, which have their centre of gravity balancing by your child's weight in the seat are generally more stable than three-wheelers. However, that doesn't mean a three-wheel buggy isn't worth considering, since many of them are built to cope with anything from rough terrain to busy high streets.

Look for a buggy with large rear wheels, as well as an lockable wheel on the front. This will make it more comfortable to drive and less likely to break apart when you're on rough roads. The fact that there is only one front wheel could be a reason that three-wheelers tend to be heavier than buggies with four wheels when folded. Make sure the model you choose can fit in the boot of your car and can be set up upright if required. Certain models can be folded by one hand, and they can be raised when folded.
