Upgrades give you an increase in certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the item upgrader mod level upgrade - supplemental resources - level by +3. A random extra substat is also boosted alongside each upgrade.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapons, armor, tools, and accessory upgrades. Players can purchase them through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners for a variety of currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any weapon, tool or armor. The button will display the item's next upgrade level, in the event that there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the item slot and the current Best item upgrade level, with weapons costing more than bracers or gloves, for example. Each upgrade items costs 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Some upgrades give discounts on Flightstones.
